Discussion of ESMOS Top Ten Issues

The Mission System top ten issues were discussed by K. Dolan.

#1 — FY02 budget – SOMO backing out of funding networks, institutional support and technology programs: Will change from FY02 to FY03 as the title of this item. We are shifting forward; looks like we can make it through the fiscal year.

#2 — Readiness of Ground Network to support Aqua: Next GN test is scheduled for April 8th through the 10th.

#3 — NACs: This item can be lowered on the top ten list. One person’s clearance has been deferred; two new people are in the queue. People without an approved NAC can be escorted by a cleared person.

#4 — Getting a contract in place to provide anomaly support from LMMS, SBRS, and L3COM: There is a telecon tomorrow morning. There are still some issues with the Santa Barbara contract.

#5 — End of Mission planning for ERBS and UARS: No changes since last week. There is an effort to get ERBS and UARS funding through the education outreach program.

#6 — USGS has not provided money to cover FY02 Landsat-7 network costs. NASA has not budgeted for this cost: No changes since last week.

#7 — DSMC transition NCC and WOTIS operations are moving to WSC during 2002: We will be attempting a manual test this week with WOTIS and White Sands.

#8 — System vulnerabilities: Completed an internal assessment. Judy Bruner’s team is looking at system vulnerabilities; we will work to close out any items that they identify.

#9 — Aqua Transition: No updates; final transition plans is not due yet.

Old item #6, NCR, was completed and removed from this top ten list.
