At the end of the last Cebreros pass in the reporting period (DOY 247, 15:00z) Venus Express was orbiting Venus at 47.1 million km from the Earth. The one-way signal travel time was 157 seconds.
Payload Activities
ASPERA
The instrument was operated as part of the routine plan.
MAG
MAG The instrument was regularly operated as part of the routine plan. As part of resuming science on the 27 August, MAG was not switched on, this only occurred the next day.
PFS
No PFS operations were carried out this week.
SPICAV
The instrument was operated as part of the routine plan.
VeRA
No RSI activities took place this week
VIRTIS
Only Virtis M part has been operated during this period as the failure on H cooler is still under investigation.
VMC
The instrument was operated as part of the routine plan.
Future Milestones
- Virtis tests to be conducted on orbits 506 and 509
- Quadrature start 19th October.
