ESA-TV transmissions 13-15 July 2005
The ESA-TV transmissions over the next three days featuring Shuttle Mission STS-121 are as follows:
13 July 04:00-04:30 GMT Flight Day 9 Highlights
NASA provides daily flight day highlights for all Shuttle Missions. These are B-rolls with the best images from the past 24 hours, and of the key mission milestones. ESA-TV provides a rebroadcast of the Flight Day Nine highlights in time for breakfast news programmes
13 July 08:13 – 08:33 GMT In-Flight Event (“Schalte”) with Thomas Reiter
This in-flight event features Thomas Reiter from the Destiny Laboratory. ESA astronauts Reinhold Ewald and Pedro Duque will gather at the Columbus Control Centre near Munich in Germany together with children aged 13-15 from a local school, and ask questions/discuss with Reiter and fellow astronauts on the ISS. Part of the event will be in German. ESA-TV provides two feeds and both may be used by all broadcasters:
1) a rebroadcast of Q&A as recorded in the ISS. For downlink details, see below
2) a multicamera recording of the actual event in Germany (including images from the ISS), downlink on Eutelsat W1 at 10 degrees East, Transponder B6, channel 7 (SCPC), vertical, F=11181 MHz, SR=6.1113 Ms/sec, FEC=3/4
13 July 17:23 – 17:43 GMT STS-121 In-Flight Interviews
Correspondents from NBC and FOX News will ask questions to the STS-121 Crew Members Fossum and Nowak. ESA-TV provides a rebroadcast of this event. The images may be used by all broadcasters.
14 July 04:00-04:30 GMT Flight Day 10 Highlights
ESA-TV provides a rebroadcast of the Flight Day Ten highlights in time for breakfast news programmes.
14 July 08:03 – 08:23 GMT STS-121 – ISS In-Flight Interviews
Correspondents from CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC will ask questions to the STS-121 and ISS Crew Members Kelly, Fossum, Nowak, Wilson, Sellers, Vinogradov and Williams. ESA-TV provides a rebroadcast of this event. The images may be used by all broadcasters.
15 July 04:00-04:30 GMT Flight Day 11 Highlights
ESA-TV provides a rebroadcast of the Flight Day Eleven highlights in time for breakfast news programmes.
