Replay II: 24 December 11:30-11:45 GMT

The launch of Meteosat-9 on Ariane 5 is scheduled for 21 December 2005 at 22:33 GMT. This Exchange provides pre-event footage outlining how Meteosat contributes to weather forecasts used by everybody every day, and why global change will make accurate and timely weather information more important.

The Exchange also includes images of Meteosat-9 being prepared for launch in Kourou, and general Ariane-5 footage.

Meteosat-9 is launched by Arianespace on behalf of EUMETSAT. The live launch transmission can be made available to broadcasters upon request, at the BT tower in London and at the Paris TV tower (Serte).
