The ESA TV Service wishes everybody a Happy New Year hoping that 2006 will bring its share of interesting stories and fascinating images from space, to broadcasters across Europe.

ESA TV Transmissions will resume on Thursday 12 January, with a look at “Huygens on Titan – One Year After” including spectacular new 3-D graphics based on the science data obtained during the historic landing on 14 January 2005. This Exchange will also includes soundbites recorded a few days ago, by Huygens scientists Jean-Pierre Lebreton and Jonathan Lunine.

Next week, an Exchange will provide an outlook onto Europe’s space events in 2006 – looking at the question whether it will be possible to repeat that extraordinary period of 12 months behind us, that started with the arrival of Huygens on Titan and finished with the launch of Giove, on 28 December?

In the course of 2006, some new services are scheduled to be rolled out, notably provision of new video footage via ftp transfer and further improved video archive information. Stay tuned ….
