ESA TV Service — coverage of tonight’s Ariane and Shuttle launches

For tonight, two launches are scheduled: Ariane V139 from Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, carrying two military communications satellites (as of 21:58 GMT), and the Shuttle on mission STS-98 to the International Space Station (as of 23:11 GMT).

The ESA TV Service will transmit the highlights of both launches in time for breakfast programmes, tomorrow morning 06:00-06:30 GMT, as follows:

06:00-06:20 Highlights of Shuttle mission STS-98 launch preparations and launch

06:20-06:30 Highlights of the Arianespace V139 live tranmsmission

The transmission details for both transmissions are:

Eutelsat W1 at 10 degrees East

Transponder B5, dig ch 1 (SCPC), horizontal

F=11.13475 MHz, SR=5.632 MS/sec, FEC=3/4
