ESA TV Service coverage of Soyuz landing 28 October 2003
In the night 27-28 October 2003 at about 02:30 GMT, Spanish ESA astronaut Pedro Duque will return to Earth in a Soyuz capsule, landing under three parachutes in the plains of Kazachstan. The ESA TV Service coverage of this event is as follows:
– Unedited camera rushes of the landing, filmed in Kazachstan by an ESA ENG crew, transmitted inside the time window 05:30-07:00 GMT from Kazachstan.
– Images recorded by Pedro Duque whilst in space. The ESA TV Service transmits a selection of these camera recordings in unedited form, between 15:00-16:00 GMT.
Both feeds are on: Eutelsat W1, XP B5, horizontal, channel C (SCPC, DVB) F=11.153 MHz, SR=5.632 MS/sec, FEC=3/4
If a tape is not ready for transmission in the above time slots, for example because the landing is delayed by one orbit, updated information will be posted on the ESA TV Website as soon as it is available.
– A NASA-TV summary of the landing day, rebroadcast live to Europe at 16:00-17:00 GMT.
This feed is on: Atlantic Bird 1, XP B1, horizontal, channel B (MCPC – one the subchannels 1 to 3, DVB 625/50) F=11.014 MHz, SR=20150 MS/sec, FEC=3/4
