STS-100 Flight Day 4 Highlights
ESA TV News
Attention: this programme item is transmitted on NSS-K.
Today, the Canada-built robotic arm for the International Space Station is being mounted on the Station during a six-hour space walk. This arm, made of seven jointed elements, is a much-improved cousin of the Canadian arm used for years on the Shuttle. Actually, STS-100 pilot Jeff Ashby and ESAastronaut Umberto Guidoni will use this Shuttle robotic arm to install the Space Station arm on the outside of the Space Station’s Destiny laboratory.
The Flight Day Highlights include some 15 minutes of B-roll material on the activities of this Sunday between 12:00-22:00 hours GMT. The ESA TV Service transmits these images in time for breakfast news programmes, on Monday morning.
For daily updates on the visit of Umberto Guidoni to the Station, including streaming video, see http://www/esa.int/guidoni.
