Background on the transmission:

On 27 June 2001, EC President Romano Prodi will meet ESA astronaut Umberto Guidoni in Brussels. “Europe by Satellite” transmits-live-the arrival of Guidoni and the crew of mission STS-100 to the International Space Station, accompanied by ESA Director General Antonio Rodotý. The arrival at the Breydel building of the EC in Brussels is followed by press briefing with President Romano Prodi and Commissioner Gunter Verheugen.

The item will be rebroadcast on ESA TV Footage on 4 July 2001.
