Item 1:
(11:00-11:20 GMT, 20 minutes) Artemis pre-launch Video News Release. ESA’s Artemis satellite will be launched on 12 July 2001 on Ariane 5 from Europe’s spaceport in Kourou. This item includes the pre-launch Video News Release for this event, made of a 2’30” A-roll plus an extended B-roll with footage on Artemis development and mission.
Item 2:
(11:20-11:30 GMT, 10 minutes) Artemis and Ariane V142 launch preparation footage from Kourou. This item includes selected rushes from final testing and launch preparations of the Artemis satellite in Kourou, including filling operations and the encapsulation of the satellite, as well as images of the assembly of the Ariane 5 launcher that will carry Artemis into orbit.
Item 3:
EC President Prodi meets ESA astronaut Umberto Guidoni (11:30-11:40 GMT, 15 minutes). On 27 June 2001, EC President Romano Prodi met with the crew of STS-100 mission that included ESA astronaut Umberto Guidoni, the first European on board the ISS. This item includes footage from this event, in which also ESA Director General Antonio Rodota participated.
