ESA TV coverage of Venus Express Arrival simulcast on Eutelsat Hot Bird

Eutelsat W2 at 16 degrees East, Transponder B5 middle, horizontal, channel 5, F=11.151 MHz, SR=5.632 MS/sec, FEC=3/4

For the general public:

Eutelsat Hot Bird 1 at 13 degrees east, Transponder 2, vertical, F=11.242 MHz, SR=27500 MS/sec, FEC=3/4, Channel id “Eutelsat”. As of 10 April mid-day, an ESA logo will be transmitted on this channel.

The schedule on 11 April is:

07:10-08:15 GMT Venus Express Arrives at Destination – live images and mission commentary from the Main control Room of ESOC in Darmstadt-Germany.

10:00-11:00 GMT Orbit insertion highlights (B-roll format, approx 10 minutes) followed by the press conference where the outcome of the operation is announced.

A detailed running order for the segment 07:10-08:15 GMT will be posted on the ESA TV Website on Sunday 9 April in the late afternoon.
