ESA-TV Coverage of Today’s MetOp Launch

The newly confirmed launch date for MetOp is 19 October at 16:28 GMT. ESA-TV will provide live coverage of the launch and as previously, two satellite channels will be up:

Live televised launch transmission from Baikonur and ESOC including live mission commentary –

16:20-16:45 GMT MetOp Live Launch Transmission

Eutelsat W2 at 16 degrees East, Transponder F5 horizontal, channel E (SCPC), F=12.717 MHz, SR=5.632 MS/sec, FEC=3/4,

In addition, a clean feed directly from Baikonur without mission commentary is broadcast –

16:20-16:35 GMT MetOp Launch Clean Feed

Eutelsat W2 at 16 degrees East, Transponder B3 horizontal, channel H (SCPC), F=11.107 MHz, SR=5.632 MS/sec, FEC=3/4

Finally, ESA-TV will provide a summary B-roll of lift-off pictures, images from ESOC mission control plus a concluding statement by an ESA official on MetOp mission status, in case lift-off is taking place today:
