Continuing the effort to communicate our progress toward implementation of the 2017 Decadal Survey, we invite you to join us 12-1pm, Eastern, June 30, for the Earth Science Division’s Earth System Observatory Community Forum.

This forum will offer insights into the development of the Earth System Observatory (ESO) and our plans for the missions that comprise this future Earth observation architecture, and provide a platform for any questions you may have.  This meeting will be virtual-only.  Teleconference and WebEx information appears at the end of this message.

We invite you to submit your questions in advance of the forum at https://nasa.cnf.io/sessions/j7bx/#!/dashboard.

The measurements collected by the ESO will help address the most pressing questions about our changing planet, as identified by the 2017 Decadal Survey, “Thriving on Our Changing Planet: A Decadal Strategy for Earth Observations from Space.”  Each of the five “designated observables” that serve as the core of the ESO will deliver important environmental measurements on its own. But it is by taking them together, as a single observatory, that NASA will explore the linkages between our home planet’s complex systems, and improve our capability to predict future change.  We will make the community forum presentation and other supporting materials available online as they become available.
