Description
NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP), issued pursuant to NASA FAR Supplement 1815.201, for SAFETY AND MISSION ASSURANCE SUPPORT SERVICES FOR NASA LANGLEY RESEARCH CENTER, HAMPTON, VA. Comments are invited from potential offerors on all aspects of the DRFP, including requirements, schedules, proposal instructions and evaluation approaches. Potential offerors are requested to identify unnecessary or inefficient requirements. Responses to this DRFP are due no later than Close of Business on January 9, 2004. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total 8(a)set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541690 and $6.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the Final RFP is on or about January 16, 2004 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about March 1, 2004, with award of the contract scheduled on or about June 1, 2004. An ombudsman has been appointed — See NASA Specific Note “B”. The draft solicitation and any documents related to this procurement, with the exception of the Bidder’s Library (see Section L.6 of the DRFP) will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/LaRC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=23 It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the final solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
