Description

The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite(GOES)R Series Project Office, Code 417, at the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md. have posted to their World Wide Web (WWW) site draft instrument documents for the Hyperspectral Environmental Suite (HES). The main goal of GOES-R is to maintain continuity of GOES service to user agencies and to upgrade services. The GOES-R spacecraft shall accommodate the proposed HES instruments. The draft Sensor Performance and Operations Requirements document is available for download which sets forth the performance requirements for the NOAA HES. The draft Unique Instrument Interface Document is also available for download. This draft document allocates the resources of the GOES-R series spacecraft to the HES and documents Government-approved constraints on instrument operation and deviations or waivers to the GOES-R Instrument Interface Document.
