DPS MEETING ABSTRACT DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 15
EXTENDED ABSTRACT DEADLINE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 9PM EDT
LATE PAPER ABSTRACT DEADLINE: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 9PM EDTDue to the last minute venue change for the fall meeting we realize
that several aspects of the planning have been less than ideal, and we
sincerely apologize for the confusion this has caused. Normally we
send by regular mail and email a first announcement (with deadlines)
about 4-5 months prior to the meeting. This year, no formal
announcement has been made, either by regular or email, and only a very
brief announcement of the abstract deadline was sent in the enews on
July 22. The inadequate deadline notification has led to frustration on
the part of many DPS members who inadvertently missed Monday’s abstract
deadline. To ameliorate these circumstances as best we can, the DPS
ABSTRACT DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 9PM EDT.
As with all abstracts submitted by August 5, every effort will be made
to accomodate your presentation preference, however, we remind everyone
that it is never guaranteed. The earlier abstracts are received before
this deadline, the easier it will be to accommodate your preference.
Unchanged is the LATE PAPER DEADLINE, which is still MONDAY, SEPTEMBER
9, 9PM EDT.The DPS front web page and the AAS abstract form web page have both
been updated to reflect the extended submission deadline. The meeting
page has not yet been updated, but will be as soon as possible. Please
pass the word to your DPS colleagues!———————————————————————–
