14 Nov 2015 6:00 pm ET : Good news, the Baslers look like they have arrived at Novolazarevskaya Station! Now we just need to show up! Hopefully the ice-runway will be clear and the weather will be nice on Tuesday.

14 Nov 2015 11:00 am ET: The weather went down a bit and they could not keep up with the conditions to clear the ice-runway of snow. You can see in the webcam image taken just a short while ago that they are continuing to clear the snow. My guess is that the Baslers (DC3s) will arrive tomorrow, and they need to be in place before our flight arrives to transport passengers to other stations. Unfortunately the current forecast has the weather going back down on Monday and will not be suitable again until Tuesday. That now looks to be a pretty good bet.

14 Nov 2015 3:00 am ET: The skies above the Novo ice-runway are finally turning blue. Hopefully they will continue to improve and we will head south to Antarctica tomorrow morning.
