Dear CubeSat Community Members,

The Cal Poly CubeSat team is excited to invite you to the 5th Annual CubeSat Developers’ Workshop! This year the event will be held on April 9th-11th, 2008 at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. We are looking forward to another opportunity to bring together students, educators and industry professionals in a collaborative environment.

With the continuous growth of the community and the exciting developments of the past year, this year’s conference will strive to address a breadth of issues relevant to both established and emerging satellite developers. Some highlights of the upcoming workshop will include:

-University Poster Session

  • Both CubeSats and Nanosats

-A Variety of Presentation Session Topics such as:

  • Access to Space
  • NASA’s CubeSat Involvement
  • Nanosat Development
  • Innovations in Avionics
  • Ground Stations and Operations
  • And many more!

-Discussion Sessions

-Annual CubeSat Banquet

-Networking and Learning Opportunities

As the CubeSat community has grown and evolved, our parallels with the Nanosat community have become more apparent. In response, we are inviting the Nanosat community to attend this workshop and to participate in the university poster session and workshop presentations.

Please save April 9th-11th, 2008 and continue to look for email updates–online registration is coming soon!

We look forward to seeing you in April,

Alex Chin and Marissa Brummitt
