SUBJECT: SP–HOW TO COMMERCIALIZE NASA TECHNOLOGY (TECHNOLOGY
TRANSFER)

DESC: The NASA Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization
is pleased to invite you to participate in the 4th NASA Training
session on Commercializing NASA Technology, which will take
place in Reston, VA on December 5 – 6, 2001. The Minority-Owned
Business Technology Transfer Consortium (MBTTC) is organizing
this training session. The purpose of the training session
is to increase the number of Small, Small Disadvantaged and
Women Owned businesses taking advantage of NASA technology
commercialization opportunities. The following topics will
be discussed in the training session: – Overview of NASA Technology
Commercialization Process – Legal Authority for Technology
Commercialization – Identifying Available NASA Technology –
Working with NASA Researchers and Scientists – Applying for
a License to Commercialize – Negotiating the Licensing Agreement
– Developing the Technology Commercialization Marketing Plan
– Accessing Financing and Venture Capital Sources – Commercializing
the Product – Examples of Success Stories. The registration
fee is $75.00 to cover food and incidentals. This fee is non-refundable
