There are two ESA TV transmissions on 30 June:

09:00-09:30 GMT Update of the pre-event VNR Cassini-Huygens arrives at Saturn (run time 13 minutes, played out twice)

This transmission is an update of the pre-event VNR transmitted on 29 June, to which are added images and soundbites recorded on 29 June 2004 at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, on the last preparations for the Saturn Orbit Insertion in the following night.

16:00-16:30 GMT Press Briefing: Cassini/Huygens Saturn Orbit Insertion Status

12 hours before the critical insertion burn, the press briefing held at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena will outline the status of operations and instruments and whether everyhting is ready for the delicate manoeuvring of a spacecraft through the rings of Saturn. Among the speakers will be Michelle Dougherty, a Cassini scientist from the UK.

The ESA TV service will broadcast the press briefing live.

The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperation between NASA, the European Space Agency and ASI, the Italian space agency.
