WHAT:
The Gibbs Cancer Center and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) are hosting the first annual Space, Cancer and Personalized Medicine Conference from Spartanburg, SC.
Leaders from NASA, CASIS and other industry experts will discuss topics ranging from stem cells and cancer biology, to personalized medicine and the benefits of conducting such research on the International Space Station.
*CASIS is the non-profit organization selected by NASA in July 2011 to maximize use of the International Space Station (ISS) U.S. National Laboratory through 2020.
