Canadarm2 Ready to Catch SpaceX’s Dragon
The eagerly anticipated SpaceX Dragon launched successfully this morning from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 3:44 a.m. EDT.
The Dragon is scheduled to rendezvous with the International Space Station on May 25, 2012 at 8:06 a.m. EDT. Once it is cleared for capture, NASA Astronaut Don Pettit and European Space Agency Astronaut Andre Kuipers will use Canadarm2 to perform a cosmic catch: grapple the capsule and install it on the space station.
