Mission Specialist Randy Bresnik called down at 5:14 a.m. CST to announce the birth of his daughter. Abigail Mae Bresnik arrived at 11:04 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 in Houston, TX. Bresnik reported his wife Rebecca and baby are doing well. He also thanked the flight control team and flight surgeon for their support and assistance.

The six-member crew of Atlantis will have a half day to relax before getting ready for Monday’s third and final spacewalk.

In the early afternoon, Mission Specialists Robert Satcher Jr. and Randy Bresnik will prepare spacesuits and tools and review the updated procedures for that third spacewalk. The spacewalk was replanned overnight after Bresnik and Foreman were able to get ahead on tasks during Saturday’s spacewalk, including deploying a third payload attach system.

Tonight Satcher and Bresnik will spend the night in the Quest airlock to prepare for Monday’s spacewalk.
