Boeing Places Collection of Prometheus Jupiter Mission Concept Materials Online

Editor’s note: A part of NASA’s new “Vision for Space Exploration”, the Project Prometheus Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter (JIMO) mission is being studied as the first nuclear fission-powered space science mission under NASA’s Project Prometheus, the space agency’initiative to develop space nuclear power and electric propulsion technologies to revolutionize space exploration.
Boeing has produced a variety of multimedia materials associated with their proposed design for Prometheus – including several videos.
One 12 minute video, clearly inspired by the film “2001: A Space Odyssey”, includes a tour of the Jovian system and is well worth viewing.
