The Upper Stage (US) of the Block DM that was launched
from a low Earth orbit established by a Proton-K Launch
Vehicle (LV) put a Kosmos-series spacecraft (SC) into its
target geostationary orbit.

The prime developer and manufacturer of the US is S.P.Korolev
RSC Energia.

The orbital module consisting of a Block DM-type US and
a Kosmos SC was launched by the LV from the Baikonur launch
site at 8:23 Moscow Time.
Upon separation of the orbital module from the last stage
of the LV, which occurred at 8:33 Moscow Time, two consecutive
burns of the US main engine were performed in accordance
with the mission profile and they have been completed without
any anomalies.

Separation of the SC from the US occurred at 15:00 Moscow
Time. This mission is the 273rd successful mission for upper
stages of the Block D and Block DM type.

RSC Energia specialists participated in the upper stage
