AVIRIS Flight 020503

AVIRIS flew the first science mission aboard the ER-2 on May 5, 2002. The targets were Rogers Dry Lake and Sheely Farms, CA.

The computer and data storage upgrade is working, and we will be collecting science data on the ER-2 from May – July 15. In mid-July we will begin our summer mission aboard the Twin Otter aircraft.

We did fly a short mission on the Twin Otter from March 25 – April 15 during the engineering test phase, and collected some science data over the Colorado Rockies, and Southern California. The flight logs are online for targets.
