Arianespace decided to postpone this launch originally scheduled for 8 April, by 24 hours after one of the two clients requested additional verifications on its satellite.

Liftoff of the Ariane 5 with its dual satellite payload of INSAT 3A and GALAXY XII is now set for 9 April during a launch window that begins at 22:49 GMT and closes at 23:30 GMT.

The ESA TV Service transmits a summary of the Arianespace launch transmission, including lift-off images and statements by Arianespace officials. This transmission is in time for breakfast news programmes.
