Flight 142 has been cleared for liftoff on Thursday, July 12, following
today’s launch readiness review at the Spaceport in French Guiana.

The review validated the launch-ready status of the Ariane 5 and its dual
satellite payload, as well as the ground infrastructure at the Spaceport and
the down-range tracking stations.

With final preparations now complete, heavy-lift launcher has been approved
for tomorrow’s rollout from its current location in the Ariane 5 final
assembly building to the launch zone.

The 3,100 kg. European Space Agency Artemis satellite will ride in the upper
payload position on the Ariane 5. Artemis is mounted atop the Sylda 5 dual
satellite deployment system, which carries the 1,300 kg. BSAT-2b spacecraft
for Japan’s B-SAT Corp.

Flight 142 has a 92-minute launch window, which opens at 6:58 p.m. local
time in French Guiana.
