Submit Your Abstract

We are pleased to issue a high school and middle school student call for abstracts for the upcoming 2022 ASGSR Annual meeting. Each year ASGSR brings together the biological and physical space sciences community to share research, build collaborations, and discuss emerging issues in the field. ASGSR welcomes young scientists and engineers to Houston, TX Nov 9 – 12, 2022 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.

The abstract deadline for submission is September 15, 2022 at 23:59 EDT. Late submission abstracts will not be accepted after this date.

High school and middle school students who are accepted will be invited to participate in the High School and Middle School Poster Session on Saturday, November 12th, 2022. The area allotted for each poster will be 4 ft tall x 4 ft wide.

ASGSR membership is not required for abstract submission, but meeting registration and attendance is required for poster presentation and inclusion in the meeting program. Because of processing deadlines, the Program Committee will not be able to include an abstract submitted after the deadlines indicated above. Students from under-represented racial, ethnic, and gender populations are especially encouraged to submit an abstract to the ASGSR annual meeting.

Abstract selection and student travel award notification will be emailed to presenting authors no earlier than October 1, 2022.

A pre-ASGSR Annual meeting virtual briefing will be held on October 4, 2022. Details to be provided after September 15 to all students who submit an abstract and their project adult supervisor.
