Amendment to SALMON-3 (PEA I MMX) corrections to delivery date and FY for cost table
AMENDMENT 1 TO PEA I (MMX) OF NASA ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPPORTUNITY (AO) “THIRD STAND ALONE MISSION OF OPPORTUNITY NOTICE (SALMON-3),” NNH17ZDA004O, RELEASED MARCH 22, 2017
SALMON-3 AO Amendment 1: Amendment of proposal opportunity in Appendix I: MMX Neutron and Gamma-Ray Spectrometer Investigation-to correct a typographical error and provide additional information on SALMON-3 requirements.
With this amendment, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Announcement of Opportunity (AO) NNH17ZDA004O, “Third Stand Alone Missions of Opportunity Notice (SALMON-3),” is amended to announce a correction and additional information in Program Element Appendix (PEA) I: MMX Neutron and Gamma-Ray Spectrometer Investigation.
The following change is made to Section 3 of the SALMON-3 PEA I. Bold text indicates additions, while deletions are struck through.
Delivery of Structural & Thermal Model (estimated) …… March 2021 2020
The following change is made to Requirement I-7 in Section 4.4.1.1 of the SALMON-3 PEA I. Bold text indicates additions.
Requirement I-7. Proposals shall include detailed plans and budgets for Phases A-F for costs that are within the PI-Managed Mission Cost (see Table 2). In Table B3b (see Section H of Appendix B of the SALMON-3 AO), the cost shall be in fiscal year 2020 dollars (FY2020$).
In summary: The estimated date for delivery of the structural and thermal model has been corrected to March 2020, and it has been clarified that the fiscal year (FY) to be used in Table B3b is FY2020.
