Air Force Contract Let: Orbital Sciences
Orbital Sciences Corp., Chandler, Ariz., is being awarded a $237,850,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for a 10-year ordering period for orbital and suborbital launch systems and launch vehicle services for the integration of various payloads using excess ballistic missile assets. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum indicated above, though requirement may necessitate less than the amount indicated above. At this time, $50,400 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by July 2014. Solicitation began July 2002, and negotiations were completed November 2002. Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-03-D-0202).
