2022 Gordon Research Seminar:
Challenging Paradigms in Prebiotic Chemistry
Origins of Life Community,
We would like to cordially invite you to apply to the 2022 Gordon Research Seminar titled Challenging Paradigms in Prebiotic Chemistry, which will be preceding the Gordon Research Conference in Origins of Life. The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting-edge ideas in both presentation and poster format. This year’s theme aims to foster discussions that facilitate the development of novel strategies the field can use to investigate the origins of life and welcomes any abstracts related to improving our understanding of the geology, chemistry, and biological origins of the early Earth.
The conference will take place from January 22nd–23rd at the Residence Inn at Oxnard River Ridge in Oxnard, California; attendees of the GRS are highly encouraged to attend the associated GRC from January 23rd–28th at the same location.
Applications for oral presentations are due on October 22nd, 2021, while poster applications are due on December 25th, 2021.
We encourage any and all early-career researchers to apply for the GRS and the affiliated GRC by visiting the websites below. For additional information, please contact the GRS co-chairs, Tyler Roche (tyler.roche@gatech.edu) or Laura Rodriguez (laura.rodriguez@jpl.nasa.gov).
