Koichi Wakata performed a voice communication checkout via Inter-orbit Communication System (ICS) link with Tsukuba Space Center. ICS provides an direct network between the JEM and the Tsukuba Space Center in Japan through JAXA’s Data Relay Test Satellite (DRTS).
