Blue Origin Selects Florida’s Space Coast for Production and Launch Site

Blue Origin.

Blue Origin has selected the Florida Space Coast to locate a new manufacturing facility and signed an agreement to use Launch Complex 36 (Pad B) to launch their new reusable rocket which they expect to fly from the Cape by 2020.
The deal with the State would see Blue Origin create a manufacturing facility for the new rocket at Exploration Park just south of Kennedy Space Center. The facility would build portions of the rocket and integrate them for flight. The rocket engines, BE-3 and BE-4 would be manufactured elsewhere.

Blue Origin will invest $200 million in Florida and will create 330 jobs.

Having Blue Origin based on Florida’s Space Coast is a big win for the State who were competing with other States to host them.
