SPCS Agenda Expands for 2012

Officials with the 2012 International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight (ISPCS), the most relevant, high-value global commercial space conference of the year, today announced Governor Susana Martinez is among the newest confirmed speakers added to the agenda.
Taking place Oct. 17-18 in Las Cruces, N.M., ISPCS will gather the top leaders in the commercial spaceflight industry. Thought leadership and informed dialogue are essential to the experience of this conference and the emerging industry and its applied technologies. The people, the companies and their technologies are the top reasons this conference is a must attend.

“ISPCS is a snapshot of the industry at the time of the conference, yet we also provide a long-term view as the commercial space markets evolve,” said Patricia Hynes, Ph.D., chair of ISPCS.

ISPCS 2012 features two recently announced panels, including one devoted to commercial launch vehicles for their payloads. Panelists from The Aerospace Corporation, Nanoracks, and Arianespace will address market demand for vehicles, services and destinations and the changing relationships with consumers and government agencies.

ISPCS 2012 further rounds out its agenda with the addition of a discussion on the value of expanding commercial human spaceflight internationally. Chaired by Susan Irwin with Euroconsult USA, Inc., the panel will feature representatives from Spaceport Sweden and Space Expedition Corporation discussing their efforts and strategies to succeed in the early days of the global commercial space transportation industry.

The online agenda for ISPCS 2012 is posted at www.ispcs.com. Early bird registration, offering a savings of $200 on the full-conference fee, is available through Sept. 14. This year’s conference planners have a new process starting with registration that will help create more effective, personalized connections for like-minded participants in order to spur partnerships and collaborations.

Currently, more than 450 people from across the space community, including thought leaders from private industry, government and academia, who are expected to attend ISPCS 2012. Conference organizers report both exhibit areas are over 90% sold. The exhibit areas will showcase cutting-edge technologies and emerging commercial applications for military, scientific and personal spaceflight.
