Satellite Industry Association to Moderate Export Control Panel at ISDC
The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) will be moderating a panel on Export Control at the National Space Society’s (NSS) International Space Development Conference (ISDC), on Friday, May 25 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm at the Grand Hyatt Washington, in Washington, DC.
Patricia Cooper, President of SIA, will moderate a panel of distinguished export control policy experts, which will include: Ashley Bander, U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Secretary of Defense/Space Policy; Carissa Christensen, Founder and Managing Partner, The Tauri Group; Kevin Schmadel, Vice President Government Relations, Universities Space Research Association (USRA); and, Mike Gold, General Counsel, Bigelow Aerospace. The panelists will discuss the recently released “Final Section 1248 Report”, the effect of the proposed reforms on the U.S. space industrial base and U.S. national security, as well as the pending companion legislation.
