Sierra Space has received a sizable investment this fall, making an announcement that they are finalizing a $290 million fundraising round led by three prominent Japanese financial institutions.

When this latest Series B round concludes, Colorado-based Sierra Space will have raised $1.7 billion in investments, leading to a total valuation of $5.7 billion. In the company announcement, Sierra said that this stands as “the largest ever capital raise by a commercial space company over the combined Series A and B rounds.”
