Infostellar Joins AWS Public Sector Partner (PSP) Program
Infostellar Inc., a satellite Ground Segment as a Service (GSaaS) provider (CEO: Naomi Kurahara, Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter “Infostellar”) joined Amazon Web Services (hereinafter “AWS”) “AWS Public Sector Partner (PSP)” Program. In addition, StellarStation has passed the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) and has been officially recognized as “AWS Qualified Software”. We are proud to announce that this is the first-ever GSaaS provider’s software to be AWS qualified on a global scale.
Infostellar provides satellite operators with access to a flexible and scalable ground station network through StellarStation, a cloud platform that virtualizes ground station networks. Satellite operators can access a global ground station network with a one-time integration and validation effort. By freeing satellite operators from complex and time-consuming ground segment development, we strive to create an environment where they can focus on their missions.
After announcing the availability of AWS Ground Stations within StellarStation in June 2021, Infostellar has been working to integrate AWS Ground Stations into StellarStation. As of June 2023, Infostellar is able to provide a network total of 26 global ground stations, including AWS Ground Stations, through StellarStation.
With the help of AWS, Infostellar has been actively enhancing StellarStation by utilizing the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The achievement of passing the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) and becoming the world’s first “AWS Qualified Software ” among GSaaS providers will enable satellite operators to focus on their business results.
Infostellar will continue to strengthen its partnership with AWS and contribute to the success of more satellite missions in the future.
AWS Public Sector Partner (PSP) Program
The AWS Public Sector Partner (PSP) Program validates AWS Partners with cloud-based solutions and experience supporting government, space, education, and nonprofits around the world.
This program helps companies grow their public sector business through alignment with AWS public sector sales, marketing, funding, capture, and proposal teams.
AWS Foundational Technical Review
The AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) enables companies to identify and remediate risks in their software or solutions. Whether its software is delivered as a SaaS solution or deployed by your customers, the FTR helps you identify AWS Well-Architected best practices specific to your software or solution. FTR is a self-service review that is valuable at any stage of your cloud journey. Passing the FTR and being recognized as “AWS Qualified Software” will provide customers using the software with the benefit of being able to focus on business results without unnecessary risk.

The AWS Well-Architected Framework describes key concepts, design principles, and architectural best practices for designing and running workloads in the cloud. By answering a few foundational questions, learn how well your architecture aligns with cloud best practices and gain guidance for making improvements. Based on 6 pillars; Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability, the architecture will be evaluated.
