The International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight (ISPCS) has just released another video from the 2013 symposium on the panel: Environments that Foster Innovation.
The Chair of the panel was: Paul Guthrie, Senior Economist and Business Development Lead, Tauri Group

Speakers included:

– Jason Crusan, Advanced Exploration Systems Division, NASA
– Cassie Kloberdanz, Dream Chaser Business Development Manager, Sierra Nevada Corporation
– Makenzie Lystrup, Business Development Manager, Space Sciences Technologies, Space Sciences, Ball Aerospace
– Chris Boshuizen, Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer, Planet Labs Inc.

Leaders execute visions. These panelists discussed the potential they see for space activities, and how the pursuits of their goals are shaping the industry.

In particular, panelists explored the role of innovation in their professional environment, not only in terms of new products or missions, but also on the mark they have left on their organization’s processes, management and culture. Panelists presented perspectives from NASA leadership, commercial space companies, entrepreneurial efforts, and established aerospace primes. Together they demonstrate the evolution of the space industry’s emerging capabilities, the direction of the industry, the challenges to overcome and those that are imminent in the future.
