Blue Origin Successfully Launches New Shepard on its 4th Reusable Flight
Blue Origin successfully launched its reusable rocket New Shepard today deploying the crew capsule on its suborbital mission.
This was the 4th time this New Shepard rocket has flown, a feat never achieved to date by any other rocket.
The rocket reached an apogee of 331,000 ft, or just over 100 km, just entering the edge of space before descending for a picture perfect landing of the booster and a soft landing of the crew capsule.
The mission carried several student suborbital research payloads and also tested landing of the crew capsule with only two parachutes. Normally the crew capsule uses three parachutes.
