Arianespace Flight VA216 / ASTRA 5B & Amazonas 4A Launch Readiness

The Launch Readiness Review (RAL) took place in Kourou on Wednesday March 19, 2014 and authorized count-down operations for the ASTRA 5B & Amazonas 4A launch.
On its second Ariane 5 launch of the year, Arianespace will orbit two telecommunications satellites: ASTRA 5B for the Luxembourg-based operator SES, and Amazonas 4A for the Spanish operator Hispasat.

It will be launched from the Ariane launch complex N° 3 (ELA3), in Kourou, French Guiana.

THE ARIANE 5 ECA LAUNCHER LIFT-OFF for this flight is scheduled on March 21 to 22, 2014 as soon as possible within the following launch window:

– KOUROU: Between 07:05 pm and 08:02 pm, on March 21, 2014

– TU: Between 10:05 pm and 11:02 pm, on March 21, 2014

– PARIS: Between 11:05 pm and 12:02 am, on March 21/22, 2014

– WASHINGTON: Between 06:05 pm and 07:02 pm, on March 21, 2014
