Thomas Pesquet: Here is a picture I’ve wanted to take for a long time: Ayer’s rock in Australia (also named Uluru in aboriginal). This is a sacred site, and a striking landscape. Not easy to spot from ISS, but as the sun went down, we got lucky!

Un relief que je voulais capturer depuis longtemps : l’Uluru (ou Ayers rock) en plein cœur de l’Australie. Un site sacré aux couleurs flamboyantes et qui se détache nettement de son environnement, l’outback typiquement australien. Pour autant, il n’est pas facile à repérer depuis la Station spatiale, mais il y a quelques jours, au détour d’un coucher de soleil, on a eu la chance de l’admirer !
