This image taken on January 13, 2015 from the Suomi NPP satellite’s VIIRS instrument shows the Great Lakes and surrounding areas.
The latest Great Lakes Surface Environmental Analysis (GLSEA) from the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory shows total ice cover of 29.3% as of January 13th.
