Wyle has been awarded a five-year contract by NASA to provide engineering solutions and development and flight products in the areas of science and technology, exploration and flight projects at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Al.

Called the Engineering Solutions and Prototyping Contract, it is a performance-based, cost-reimbursement fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a potential value of $350 million. Wyle was one of three Huntsville-area companies selected for award. All three will compete for the work on a task order basis with a minimum order quantity value of $1 million.

Wyle will provide engineering solutions and products for design, development, test, evaluation, operations and training in support of the Marshall Space Flight Center flight projects (including the International Space Station and Space Launch System), human and robotic exploration, science and technology development, future programs and projects, and other Marshall organizations that have similar needs.

Wyle is supported by a primary partner, Miltec Ducommun of Huntsville, core teammates including Exquadrum, MEI Technologies, Orbital Technologies Corp. and ZIN Technologies, along with 13 engineering and science innovation partners and eight specialty providers.

Wyle and its team of companies offer 16 engineering, fabrication, and laboratory facilities within a two hour drive of the Marshall Space Flight Center to support the contract and a total of 500,000 sq. ft. of facilities within a two hour drive of Marshall. Wyle and its team member facilities across the nation will also be available to support this program as required.

Wyle has had a major engineering and program support presence in Huntsville for more than 50 years. It has been voted one of the best places to work in Huntsville for three consecutive years.

Wyle, a privately held company, is a leading provider of high tech aerospace engineering and information technology services to the federal government on long-term outsourcing contracts. The company also provides test and evaluation of aircraft, weapon systems, networks, and other government assets as well as other engineering services to the aerospace, defense, and nuclear power industries.
