World View Successfully Completes Launch of First-Ever Multi-Day Stratollite Mission

Officials with World View, the stratospheric exploration company, today issued the following statement on the successful launch of the first multi-day development flight of its high-altitude Stratollite™ vehicle:
 
“Today’s launch marks a truly historic milestone in our quest to open the stratosphere for business,” said Jane Poynter, World View founder and CEO. “With the maiden voyage of our multi-day mission underway, I am extremely proud of the entire team and all we are learning to make space more accessible. It is especially exciting to have the public along for the ride through our very fun and exciting collaboration with KFC.”

The launch occurred at 6:11 a.m. PT and has officially reached the stratosphere. The Stratollite continues to climb to its target altitude of 77,000 feet. Be sure to check KFC social channels (Facebook; Twitter) and www.KFCin.space each day for mission updates, and daily downloads of video from their payload.
