Visit NASA Langley Technology Day at the Virginia Air & Space Center

NASA’s Langley Research Center will showcase more than two-dozen exhibits that illustrate its vast technology development efforts supporting deep space exploration, science, and aeronautics missions on Tuesday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Air & Space Center (VASC) in Hampton.

Consider it a mid-summer’s display of cutting-edge technology — from inflatable heat shields, to Robonauts in space, to down-to Earth lidars.

What is a lidar? Stop by the CALIPSO booth and ask an expert. Have you ever wanted to work for NASA? Find out about the many different career options at the Meet a Mentor booth.

There is also a scavenger hunt for the young explorers with entry forms available from the welcome booth.

Visitors will be able to show their support of NASA technology by getting a NASA tattoo and by sharing their experiences and photos on social media – the hashtag is #321techoff.

There will also be live video coverage of Technology Day from NASA EDGE at 1-2 p.m. EDT, July 15:
