URS To Provide Services At NASA’s Kennedy Space Center

URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded an institutional services contract to support NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The contract, which was a joint pursuit led by the Company’s EG&G Division, with support from its Washington and URS Divisions, has a maximum value of $1.5 billion to URS, including a 5-year base period, followed by five one-year options.

Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide support to NASA and United States Air Force programs and projects, including operations, maintenance and engineering services to assigned facilities, systems, equipment and utilities, propellants and life support services, as well as institutional logistics, transportation logistics and laboratory services. Selected services also will be provided at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Patrick Air Force Base in Florida, where URS will furnish resources, including management, personnel, equipment and supplies to support work at those locations.

Commenting on the contract, Randall A. Wotring, President of the EG&G Division, said: “We are very pleased to have been selected by NASA for this significant new contract at the Kennedy Space Center.
