The American Society for Gravitational and Space Research Announces its 2020 Fellows
The distinction of Fellow is awarded by the ASGSR in recognition of distinguished scientific and social contributions to the advancement of gravitational and space research in the fields of life and physical sciences research, education, mentoring and outreach, and professional and public service. Awardees may be from academia, industry, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.
The three 2020 Fellows will receive a specially designed Fellows’ pin and be recognized at the 36th annual ASGSR virtual conference on November 6th.
The following fellows are announced this year:
| Physical Sciences: |

Dr. Paul ToddDr. Paul Todd is Chief Scientist Emeritus at Techshot, Inc., and partner at Magnaquant, LLC. Dr. Todd received a Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of California, Berkley. Dr. Todd’s research is focused on bioseparations and cell technology. Dr. Todd’s career is a combination of service in both industry and academia. |
| Biological Sciences: |

Dr. John KissDr. John Kiss has served as dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of North Carolina Greensboro since 2016. His research focuses on the gravitational and space biology of plants. He received his Ph.D. in botany and plant physiology from Rutgers University. |

Dr. Howard LevineDr. Howard Levine is the Chief Scientist for NASA’s ISS Research Office at
Kennedy Space Center (KSC). Dr. Levine is a scientist for the life science
spaceflight experiments at KSC and Chairs the Institutional Animal Care
and Use Committee. He received a Ph.D. in botany from the
University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

selection is made by the ASGSR governing board.
