It is with great pleasure that the European Space Agency (ESA) announces a new initiative for you and your colleagues. It is EDUSPACE, a Web site on Earth observation and satellite imagery for the Secondary School level.

The Web site is a source of ideas, material and data to learn and practice space applications in the classroom. It not only supports geographical and environmental issues, but also Physics, Computer Sciences and even Arts. We cordially invite you to have a look at this new way of perceiving our Earth.

On the occasion of the opening of the Web site, ESA and EURISY management have decided to organise a Handover Ceremony, since EDUSPACE has been developed under the umbrella of EURISY. For its operation, the site will be taken over by an ESA team. of specialists, assisted and advised by college teachers. After the ceremony, this team will hold the 1st EDUSPACE workshop. Both events will be in Italy, at ESA’s ESRIN facility, in Frascati, close to Rome. The ceremony will be held on the 31st of October, followed on the 1st and 2nd of November by the workshop. The events will be in English, however the Web site will be available also in French, Spanish, German and Italian.

Further information on how to apply to attend this training course is available here.
