Statement from Space Florida President Frank DiBello Regarding ULA/Blue Origin Partnership Announced September 17, 2014

I’d like to extend congratulations to Blue Origin CEO Jeff Bezos and ULA CEO Tory Bruno for announcing their timely and innovative partnership to develop U.S. made rocket engines for future ULA flights.

Keeping all components of launch vehicle manufacturing in the U.S. is critical to maintaining leadership in space.

This historic partnership is merely the beginning of many to come that will further blur the lines between “old” and “new” space – with workhorse companies like ULA and leading edge thinkers like Bezos joining forces in the pursuit of U.S. led space exploration that will keep our nation ahead of the pack in today’s global space race.
